Backup Policy

At HostingOra, we understand the importance of data protection and have implemented a robust backup system using industry-leading technologies to ensure your data is safe, secure, and restorable when needed.

1. General Information

Our backup solution is powered by Bareos, a powerful and flexible system designed for both Linux and Windows servers. It consists of three core components deployed across separate machines to maximize performance and efficiency.

Thanks to its advanced configuration and resource optimization, our systems perform automated backups at least once per day — and in some cases, up to three times per day.

2. Backup Servers

• Dedicated hardware is used exclusively for backup storage.
• No other applications or services are run on these machines to maintain optimal backup speed and reliability.

3. Security

• All backups are encrypted to ensure maximum protection.
• Physical access to backup systems is restricted to authorized HostingOra personnel only.
• Routine maintenance may temporarily reduce retention to 5–10 days (from the standard 14-day retention period).

4. Backup Accessibility

Shared Hosting Plans (cPanel, WordPress, Reseller, Telegram Bot, etc.):

• Daily, weekly, and monthly backups are generated automatically.
• Clients can restore backups via cPanel >> JetBackup.

VPS & Dedicated Servers:

• Automatic backups are included for VPS clients.
• Clients may subscribe to backup options for VPS & Servers To extended retention or off-site storage.

5. Client Recommendations

While HostingOra provides automated backups, we strongly recommend that clients maintain their own backups to avoid data loss due to rare system failures or corrupted backup files.

Situations where self-backups are highly advised include:

• Before extended periods of absence or limited access to your server.
• Prior to major website or server updates.
• On a regular schedule, depending on how often data changes.
• Backup storage should be local (e.g., your PC) or on secure cloud services.

6. Backup Limitations

• External/self-made backups are retained for up to 30 days.
• Due to automated systems, multiple identical backups may be redundant and are not stored long-term.

7. Liability Disclaimer

HostingOra is not responsible for:

• Loss (partial or total) of backup data.
• Missing backups from specific days or hours.
• Corrupted or unusable backup files.
• Software or hardware failures impacting backup success.
• Data mismatches between restored backups and live server content.

Clients are solely responsible for ensuring they retain secure copies of critical data.
